Going well beyond the standard in special villa in South Holland

Although Zuid-Holland is one of the most densely populated and most industrialised areas in the world, its landscape is mainly characterised by extensive and unique nature and dune areas, as well as a great diversity of flora and fauna. All this makes this province still a very desirable place to live.

The residents of this villa, with views over bulb fields and dunes, had their eye on this property for some time. Once they bought it, they wanted to have the entire interior designed according to their taste. They also wanted a spectacular connection between living room and kitchen. With SieMatic they went far beyond the standard!

Striking elements

It was immediately clear that anything 'standard' would be out of place in this villa. The residents found in Juliëtte van der Hulst of DE JUUL Interieurarchitectuur the years of experience and passion for special projects, taking into account the living wishes of the client and contemporary standards.

In order to realise that spectacular connection between the living room and the dark oak kitchen, Juliëtte designed, among other things, a wall with a wooden slatted structure, in which both storage space and a bluestone fireplace were integrated. This grand gesture, and just one of the eye-catchers in the house, stylishly connects three spaces, with the style flowing into each other.

Unconventional choices for dark oak kitchen

The kitchen was certainly not going to look ordinary! After Juliëtte started working on this space, an appointment was made at SieMatic in Vondelpark. Once in the showroom, she had a clear preference for a dark oak kitchen. The presentations, especially of the SLX Collection, completely appealed to the look and feel that the residents had in mind. A generous cooking island with an extractor hood in leather above it fitted in well with that. Just like an L-shaped protruding worktop, also in dark oak, which makes way for a comfortable seat, and the just as unconventional bronze cabinet.

Proactive kitchen advice

When you know what you want, it doesn't seem so difficult to make a purchase. However, buying a kitchen requires further advice on a number of components and details, such as lighting, ventilation, materials, appliances and the layout of drawers and cabinets. At SieMatic they took their time to inform and advise the customer about all the possibilities and choices. And once we had bought the house, it was no problem to adjust certain elements because of architectural aspects.

The customer also greatly appreciated the fact that the adviser in question picked up matters quickly, made adjustments to the drawing and ensured that they were taken into account during installation. Incidentally, the installation did not go entirely according to plan, but fortunately SieMatic was able to provide temporary solutions so that the problem could then be completely rectified.
