SieMatic Pure:
Luxury kitchen with cooking island

In the heart of Amsterdam, this luxury kitchen with cooking island is located in a 'pied a terre' of a couple who live and work in New York. The architecture and interior design was carried out in collaboration with architect Mieke Beutener.

The briefing for the design of the kitchen was that it should fit seamlessly into the architecture and interior of this stylish apartment with 'wow' elements and refined details.

At first glance, this kitchen is a beautiful piece of furniture. Only when you take a closer look you see the practical kitchen functions.

The kitchen design and finishing’s

When you enter the kitchen space through the high steel doors, you are first impressed by the height of the space. Only at a second glance you see the kitchen with a pure and minimalist cooking island. A dining bar is connected to the kitchen island and offers space to sit comfortably in the kitchen.

The kitchen furniture for extra work space, as well as a sink and tap, are built into the back wall in a 'passe partout' so they seem to float. The other kitchen functions, such as an oven, refrigerator and a wine cabinet, are completely invisibly built into the high cabinet wall to the left of the cooking island.

This creates a special interplay of horizontal and vertical lines that seamlessly blends into the special architecture of this kitchen space.
